Down South, Barn Dance, W. H. Myddleton, Hawkes & Son, (London, 1902)
Hawkes & Son, the publishers of popular English composer, W. H. Myddleton's Down South written for piano, also published a banjo arrangement for this composition by Arthur Stanley in the same year. The notation of both versions is below. Down South was a favourite 'virtuoso' piece played by John Cuninghame and Richard Tarrant Bailey Snr at meetings of the early Bath Banjo Club, the format of which was a forerunner and model for the later BMG club movement.
